Our service

Davigdor House Supported Living offers structured, compassionate support for adults with past or present mental health difficulties, helping people to stabilise, rebuild confidence and move forward with purpose.

Overview

We provide a calm, encouraging environment where people can work towards greater independence — with support that is clear, consistent and kind. Our approach balances choice and responsibility, and keeps safety and wellbeing at the centre.

Person-centred

We listen carefully, respect preferences, and support people to take the lead in their own lives.

Outcomes-focused

We set clear, achievable goals and track progress in a way that’s meaningful and motivating.

Trauma-aware

We work in a way that feels safe, respectful and predictable — building trust over time.

Support we offer

Support is flexible and can include — depending on assessed needs and the agreed plan:

Daily living

  • Cooking, meal planning and nutrition
  • Shopping and budgeting
  • Housekeeping and healthy routines
  • Appointments and correspondence

Mental health & recovery

  • Staying well plans, early warning signs and triggers
  • Support to access GP/CMHT and clinical reviews
  • Emotional reassurance and reflective conversations
  • Relapse prevention and crisis planning

Medication support

  • Prompts, monitoring and recording in line with risk assessment
  • Support to build independence where safe to do so
  • Clear escalation routes for concerns

Community living

  • Building social confidence and healthy relationships
  • Education, volunteering and employment goals
  • Positive use of time and meaningful routines

Tailored support plans

Every person has a support plan built around their strengths, needs and aspirations. Plans are co-produced, written in clear language, and reviewed regularly with the individual and relevant professionals.

What good looks like

Plans include practical steps, who will do what, and how progress will be measured — not just broad statements.

Risk-aware and empowering

We balance independence with safety, using the least restrictive approach that still protects wellbeing.

Activities & wellbeing

We believe wellbeing grows through connection, purpose and enjoyment — so we actively support people to take part in activities and try new things.

Cooking classes

Build skills, confidence and routine — and enjoy food together.

Badminton & bowling

Gentle movement and positive social time.

Pool & snooker

Relaxed, confidence-building activities with others.

Yoga & relaxation

Stress reduction, breathing, and grounding techniques.

Arts & crafts

Creativity, focus, and a sense of achievement.

Walks & outings

Fresh air, community connection, and Brighton’s seafront.

Sustainability

We’re proud to be “going greener” — because small everyday changes can add up to real impact. We encourage sustainable choices in a positive, practical way that also supports independent living skills.

  • Reducing single-use plastics and choosing reusables where possible
  • Energy-saving routines (lights, heating, laundry planning)
  • Food waste reduction and simple, affordable meal planning
  • Recycling and responsible disposal, with clear guidance and prompts
